Getting adequate sleep also affects our ability to lose weight.  So, there may be an added benefit of losing weight a bit more easily when you're using your CPAP!

Severe sleep apnea is dangerous so please get a cpap machine if you can. I had severe sleep apnea and now have mild sleep apnea. I use it at night, but if i take a nap I no't have to use it any more. Also if I happen to go out of town for one night I don't always bring it with. I would never ever sleep without it when my sleep apnea was severe.

So,I to have sleep apnea...obstructive sleep apnea to be precise...I got my cpap machine a week ago, and cnt fall asleep with it on. its like wearing a gas mask to bed. I am still trying to get used to it, and am gonna ask my PCP for some sleeping pills till I can get used to it because I really wanna reap the benefits of this macine bu I simply can't fall asleep. Maybe your experiance will be different but either way i wish u the best of luck.
