i need help please abt bread
I pretty much don't eat things that we would associate with bread. About the only time I eat bread is if I eat at Cracker Barrel and I have a piece of sour dough toast.
There is a high protein bread called P28. It has 14 gm protein per slice. It is whole grain and very heavy. I can only have 1/2 piece. I keep it in the freezer.
I get bread stuck and have foamies, gagging, abd pain - so I just avoid it.
I eat eggs boiled or so the yolk is hard, I lick PB off a knife (I have it about every 3-4 weeks), I don't do sandwiches. I use organic, no hormone, antibiotic or nitrates turkey on organic baby greens. I put most anything you put on bread on top of a salad of dark organic greens.
I do buy whole grain, gluten free crackers but eat them sparingly - a couple every few days..
I'm 2 years post RNY and found when you don't eat sugar, sweets, white flour, white potatoes, white rice, pasta, junk food or fast food - you lose your taste for it. At least I have.

I love bread, but it is not a trigger. In other words I can limit a portion without much trouble. I love the Arnold's products and the Thomas' English Muffins with the added protein. Some folks say "bread, no way, why waste the space" but I think sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, and if there is a healthy way to have it besides that white flour gummy stuff - then enjoy!
I am too early out for lettuce but can't wait until I can make the lettuce wraps. I do roll meat with cheese and dip in mustard, but sometimes I just want that piece of toasted bread.

Has anyone tried the low-carb breads from Julian Bakery? They seem to be pretty low carb with decent amounts of protein and high fiber. They have 3 different kinds whose netcarb/protein numbers are 1/12, 2/9, and 4/5.

I haven't tried them yet, so I was wondering if anyone here has and how it is.
