Surgery Date May 2nd Joliet,IL.

I am having Gastric Bypass on May 2nd at Silver Corss in Joliet. Has anyone been to this hospital? Can anyone give me any time frame on recovery? I would like to take a week off work but I can take 2 weeks. Any help would be appreciated.

You are going to need 2-3 weeks depending on what type of job you have. If you work at a desk job with no lifting 2 weeks should be ok, but most people I have read on here do better with 3 weeks. I know some who took 4 weeks.
