How soon can I go to the Chiro?

Good Day to you all!
I had my RNY on March 21, 2011. Its been 3 weeks now since my surgery and I'm doing pretty well xcept for the pain in my right side and fairly weak. I've went to the chiro for years and appreciate all the help they've given me. I'm overdue for a treatment and my neck and upper back are complaining. How soon have any of you went to the Chiro after your surgery? I plan to call him in the morning but I am wondering if any of you have had Chiropratic treatments this soon after surgery? I think it was about 6 weeks before I went.  I couldn't lay on my tummy on a hard surface before that.

I had surgery the same day as you and i have gone three times now. He has done my back neck and feet with no problems. We jsut made sure the first time i went that he was gentle and that everything was ok..... and it was!! My first treatment was at 2 weeks one day out from surg!! Good luck!!

WOW! - 68# !! Wow! You must have been working at it real hard before surgery!
I think I'm going to try to go in the morning. I just remembered they can do my neck and upper back sitting in a chair. I may try to go to my massage therapist this week, too. Thanx to both of you for responding., Barbara 

Yes, yes i was lol!! I had to do a 4 month supervised diet prior to...... so it adds up over time. I have a massage booked before chiro tomorrow and i cant wait. I have had some terrible backpain since the minute i returned from surgery..... please let it be fixed tomorrow!! Good luck with your visit tomorrow!!

I've been twice now. I was amazed I could lay on my belly. They only worked on my upper back and neck. Made a world of difference! Neck is better but upper back still hurts so I'm going to get a massage tomorrow. Best wishes to you all, Barbara
