Anyone having RNY early May? :)
We have the same date. We can cheer each other on. I started my "liver shrinking" diet yesterday. I can have two shakes a day and then a lean cuisine or some chicken or fish for dinner.
I can also sympathize with the migraines. Tylenol normally does nothing for me. Advil has been my saving grace, but I can't take it afterwards. But who knows, maybe after the surgery and I get some of this weight off, it will work better.
I am a little nervous and anxious, but ready for May 2nd to get here.

My RNY surgery is also May 2nd!! Yay for May! I start my liquid diet on Monday.. Today was my last appt until surgery. I had an EKG done and some blood work today. It's all real now.. down to the wire and I am ready to go!! I would love to chat w/ you and make some new friends! The best of luck to you!

I AM HAVING SURGERY MAY 3,2011, AND LIKE YOU IM EXCITED AND NERVOUS, IT SEEMS NO ONE IS REALLY SUPPORTIVE, AND SOMEONE ALWAYS KNOW SOMEONE WHO HAS DIED OR HAD MAJOR COMPLICATIONS DUE TO THIS AND THAT, OR IT SEEMS MY FAMILY JUST DOES NOT UNDERSTAND MY STRUGGLE WITH WEIGHT, SO GOODLUCK TO YOU ON UR JOURNEY, WE WILL MOST DEFINITELY BE IN THE SAME BOAT. Hi Angela - I am having surgery the same day as you. I too am super excited but experience bouts of anxiety as well. I know that I have made the right choice; I know that my life going forward will be greatly improved; I know that I have the support of my family and closest friends; I know that with God's help I will get through the "good" and the "bad" experiences to come my way. Discuss this issue with your doctor. I am sure that this is something they have dealt with before. Good Luck!!! Stay in touch....God Bless!!
