Surgery was Friday the 8th.  Have been doing ok.  Today I woke up with nausea, but once I took a few sips of water and had some jello that went away.  I have been passing gas and burping but haven't had a BM yet.  My tummy hurts feels tight but not hard to touch.  Is this just from the healing process or should I be worried about constipation?  My back also aches but I feel that is because a need a chiro adjustment...anyone know when that can be done?

I had surgery on 3/28.  I did not have a BM for 4 days.  My nurse practitioner wanted me to try Milk of Magnesia, but I could just feel that it was about to happen, so I waited.  I had one on day 5 and have not had any issues since then.  If you feel constipated, ask your doctor or whomever you talk to what to do.

No clue on the chiro.  Also can ask your doc when you ask about the mOm.

think mine was 4-5 days too.   At five weeks I still only have one every 3-4 days.

I was 7 days out before I had one and when you do be aware that it may look different. Mine was very black and tarry, scared the crap out of me. Everything was ok though told it was normal, just wasnt a lot of emphasis put on that after surgery. I had lots of gas as well. I was told I couldnt not go to the chiro for a month or until I could lay comfortably on my stomach.

I can lay comfortably on my stomach.  In fact, I've sleeping on my stomach since the second night I was home.
