Had he gi study this am. There is no clear answers for anything. It looked "normal" for an RNY'er. I have an EGD for monday. I've managed a few food items today... a yogurt. A few saltines (i know that's no ideal) with peanut butter. Some water (almost 23 ounces now). I had some cheese and turkey pepparoni tonight. So I'm trying hard. The zofran is definitely helping.

After the iv fluids, my weight went from 207 to 210. Tonight I'm down to 208 again.... So I'm not panicked.

I also see my nut next week. Then the pa again the monday after that.

Zofran is a great drug. Are you on scheduled dose..like every 8 or 12 hours?
I gave that drug when it was a study drug. It was a double blind study but we all knew who was getting the drug..the ones who weren't barfing their brains out.

I was given Zofran last week during my period of unexplained yakking. It didn't work for me at all. But neither did the phenergan. And neither did taking NOTHING by mouth, so I don't blame the drugs! LOL

I hope you feel better soon. I am counting days post surgery, AND days that I go in a row without vomiting. Three days yak-free! I'm stoked! And like you, everything came out perfectly clean in TWO c/t scans,

for those that may use herbs and such...i get motion sickness very easliy, even to the point of where if you are rocking in a chair and i am watching you, i get queasy..yes thats bad...

anyhow, i had to go on a boat tour for work quite a few months ago, i was really nervous, so i went to my local health food store and got some ginger cookies and ginger pills took them before the trip, but the lady at the store suggested this little bottle of stuff its called "****ulus indicus", they worked great on the boat trip...they are white littel pills about the side of a head of a pin, that small...you take like 3 to 4 of them and chew them up..
now here is am 9 days post op, when i got home from hospital, i was standing in the dining room and a wave of yuck came over me and i knew something was coming up..i could not move...trying to think of the least mess this was going to cause..i noticed the bottle of stuff on the table, took 4 of them and instantly it was gone...and i felt great...just in case you are interested..we went and got 2 more bottle of this as i want on in my purse, my bedroom and dining room for quick reaching...they really do help..and they are like $7 for a bottle..go check them out if think they will help
have a great day
