They're low in sugar? Are you serious? Have you looked at a bag of marshmellows any time recently? About 4 or 5 SINGLE marshmellows have about 20g of sugar! It takes about a whole BAG to make rice crispy treats! The rice crispies probably have an insane amount of carbs too! I guess it's a good test to see if you dum*****t....

Have you looked at the label on a box of Rice Krispie Treats?  88 calories, 7.5 grams of sugar, and 18 carbs is not that bad.  She said she had one, not a dozen.

personally, i would stay away from them. i think i had a pinky nails worth just to see if i still loved them (I don't)

i would advise looking at sugar AND carbs when making your food choices.

that said, it's not going to kill you, i'd just be careful about choices in the future, and make sure if you're going to be "bad" make sure it's worth it (flavor wise)

I didnt really like it .. it made my mouth hurt when I was chewing and i actualy spit the last bite out ... If I am gooing to have some sugar it will be a lemon cupcake or a cookie... even then I never eat a whole one ... just have a couple of bites..

I have treats occasionally. I don't look at anything as forbidden, just work it into your food plan. But even normal people have treats now and then. And I couldn't live if I was always depriving myself, so I say as long as you are going to have it, give yourself permission and enjoy it, then move on.

I had a very small square (about 1-inch x 1-inch) at Christmastime... but I was over 3 years out.  The Rice Krispies might be low in sugar but that marshmallows have a HUGE amount of sugar in them!  And then there is the whole stick of butter per batch...

I would avoid them.

I've never made my recipe with marshmallows. Mine is an old recipe from waaayyyyy back that my grandmother made for us. It uses 1 cup sugar, 1 cup Karo Syrup and 1 cup peanut butter as the binder for the krispies. This is one of the things I will miss at Christmas time.

I'm only 8 weeks out and haven't been daring enough to try very many sweets. I had a nibble of a piece of cake at an art show, and since I wasn't wanting to dump there, I brought home a cream puff to try at home. It was light and fluffy and wonderful. But I'm not wanting to open the door for trying all the "old" bad foods.
