Back at home!
Hi all! Just wanted to let everyone know I came home from the hospital yesterday evening and doing pretty well. Learning that when they say "sip, sip, sip" they are meaning infinitesimally small sips or you get an uncomfortable full feeling in the esophagus. But progressing every hour with more liquids, walking alot, and incision sites are doing good. Had 2 drains in the hospital and they got taken out by my surgeon when we discussed discharge. That was the weirdest feeling ever! It felt like live animals were being pulled out of my skin and my guts did this little seizure thing that hurt like hell. I need to get better at my incentive spirometer but at least not feeling like I can't breath at all. Well, my arms feel like they're gonna fall off so to wrap this up, I just wanted to thank everyone who sent me messages of a speedy recovery and surgery was a great success!!! Oh, and managed to lose 5 lbs in my 3 day hospital stay - thought for sure I'd gain with all the IV fluids but I guess the peeing got it all gone....
