It's been 3 weeks since I had my surgery and I'm doing great.. Just wondering when some of you out there started soft foods?

My surgeon has her patients start soft foods before they even leave the hospital (assuming that the full liquids went down ok on the previous day, of course).

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I am 3 weeks as well.  I started soft food this week.  I tried boiled egg, tuna, one perogi (yummi), today I had mashed patatoe and some chicken that chewed very well.  The most important thing is not to over do it.  I tried eating bread with soup.  I ate almost the whole peice of bread and dumped.  I learned my lesson, if you think should i try one more bite the answer is no!  Measure your food so it is only 1/4 of a cup to start out, chew well, take small bites.
