Always freakin nauseated!
WARNING!!! RANTING TO FOLLOW!!!
So for the last 5 days I have had constant nausea. If I'm awake, I'm nauseated. Everything I go to eat smells funny to me (yes, I have tried washing my hands/silverware) or the very thought of putting anything in my mouth triggers my gag reflex. At this point when I am walking to the kitchen to take my vitamins I am already starting to gag. Has anyone had this? And if so, when did it go away? I cant eat, can barely drink, I even threw up my protein shakes. I do have to mention that the night before this started I dumped on some chicken with an asian sauce that I'm assuming contained too much sugar. I need one of my peeps out there to tell me this too will pass.
Thanks!

I'm a bit farther out and I'm finding that some days or weeks I do well with food, and other times I'm better with drinks and mushies. I've done really well and haven't had any problems...it's just that the pouch wants what it wants and it's a fickle diva. All this week I've had to "adjust" to mushies and drinks as solids bring on some nausea. Saw my surgeon 2 weeks ago and he indicated it's pretty normal, so I give the diva what she wants. If the diva's happy, I'm happy.
Since your nausea has been so persistent, it would be prudent to call your surgeon. Feel better.

I went through the same thing...my NUT advised me to slow down my eating, make the bites smaller and just stick to protein for awhile..leave out all carbs. This seemed to do the trick.
I still get nausea every now and then but goes away quickly. We do seem to be more sensitive to smell and taste than we used to but you do learn to adjust and it does get better.

i get motion sickness very easily..i had to take a group of seniors on a scenic boat tour, the lady at my local healthfood store suggested i take "****ulus indicus" they worked great...they are very small little pills about the size of a head of a pin you chew up like 3 to 4 of them...i had a couple of bouts of feeling like i was going to throw up since coming home post op..i am just past 2 weeks out and as soon iasi took just 3 of these pills and instantely went away...my daughter stopped by the other day and was feeling a little bit queasy, she is recoverying from the flu..i said here take these, she went in and used the bathroom and came back out and asked "what were those pills" they worked great...
they really dont have a taste to them..just a little sweet..but i use these and they work great..call your local healthfood store to see if they have them..they are like $6 to $7 for a bottle...worth a try.
have a great day
