Odd Question About a Red Asterisk Under My Comments

When I just tried to comment on someone's post. I saw a red asterisk * under my comment box in between the actual box and where it asks you the 2 questions before you hit "submit." Does everybody have that and I just never noticed it before or what? If anybody knows, let me know. I'm curious because I've just neber noticed it.....

it indicates a required field.  you cant hit submit unless you type something

that is an odd thing to notice. I have been on here for 10 mths and I have one also but never noticed either.  You are definitely a detail oriented person

Thanks. I really don't know why I just noticed it, but thank you for saying I'm a detail oriented person, because I just thought I was paranoid!! Glad to know it's not something I need to care about!
