i bought iron + c from celebrate vitamins the 18mg. not realizing back then i would need to take 3 of them per day to get the required iron in. i ran out of them and only have regular iron pills to take and i cannot swallow pills yet even though i dont see why when it's the size of a pea. anyway, is there any iron chewables over the counter at a regular store or pharmacy. if so can anyone let me know what they take and where they bought it. thanks

I personally take the pills but when I was going through classes with Kaiser I was told that the pharmacy had solutabs but was never able to find them. I was never able to find chewable or solutabs over the counter.

I used Bariatric Advantage Iron at first. They had these chewy bites that I bought. I bought them at the pharmacy in the hospital where I had my surgery. I'm not sure if other hospitals do this, but mine sells a bunch of bariatric products.

Here is a link to some chewable Iron supliments.

I buy a caronyl iron called Feosol from Walmart.  I take it with vitamin C.  Best price I can find.  My iron levels are very good.
