I wondered the same thing today when I saw it at the store. I don't think I could eat it right now and I'm on regular foods. It's too tough.

I was eating it at 4 weeks with no problem. But only because we had been travelling all day and I hadn't had any chance to eat and it was all the hotel had. I'm almost two months out now and eat it regularly as a snack. I just make sure to drink a lot more water on days that I do. I also eat turkey jerky but it's harder to find.

Good to know, thanks! Oh, and the other thing about jerky is that I always chew it so much that after a while my jaw starts to get sore. =P

I think I was at least at 8 weeks.  The way I looked at it...if you can eat steak you can probably handle beef jerky.  Just be careful......alot of jerky is high in sodium.

I started eating it like 2 weeks ago.. so i think that was my 8th week.  I usually eat it quite slowly and chew.  I buy Jack Links original flavor cause it has less sugar and carbs than the brands that are available around my house.

If I want to get fancy and have 0 carbs i buy "Buffalo Bills 16oz Premium Hickory Beef Jerky Pieces"
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FSRN7U

This has got to be the best beef jerky i have every had... seriously.

I used to make it myself, but i havent had time lately to do all the prep work.

I will be nine weeks out Tuesday and I ate some last week. I tried the plain beef teriyaki kind and chewed it very well - 2 grams of sugar, 110 calories and 15 grams of protein. No problems. I think it may be my new favorite snack.

I tried it sometime in the latter half of my first year, but wasn't able to chew it up well enough so I never tried it again.... I don;t eat anything that I have to chew and chew and chew...
