OK today is one week since surgery. I am very emotional and having some anxiety issues that are causing my heart to beat a little fast. Clamy hands and feet. Anyone one have a prior anxiety problems before. I have taken cymbalta for 2 years prior for anxiety. Went for my week check up at family doctor and got all heart racing and flush. Anyone else out there have these issues as we are all different. other than that i am feeling ok so far though:)

I have horrible general anxiety disorder. I too take Cymbalta and I also take Serax. PM me if you want more information or want to just talk/vent. I totally get the anxiety thing on every single stupid level. I HATE IT!!!!!!!

Take care of yourself. It will get better. Mine was really out of control immediately post op but did settle down some after a couple weeks.

The more weight I lost and the hormonal changes sent my anxiety and emotions through the roof!

I am taking Celexa and I have to keep Xanax on me at all times for a quick relief when under stress...I tend to stress more now!

I am pre-op by a few months (probably August or Sept) and this is a biggie for me.  I have pretty intense general anxiety / claustrophobia.  The psych doc for my pre-op eval said to have my surgeon put me on a regular regimen of xanax for before and after the surgery instead of how I take it now (just as needed).   I am not too worried about pain, but the thought of a panic attack after surgery scares the *&**& out of me!!

Thanks so much!! Well I am having a rapid heartbeat and the doctor said to keep taking my cymbalta 60mgs at night and then keep taking xanax 0.25mgs as needed. But it still does not slow it down much just a little.
