Visiting Seattle/Portland areas, any suggestions on what/where to eat--RNY FRIENDLY

Heading out for a few days to spend time in Seattle and Portland areas.

First time I'll be eating outside of my own home since my surgery March 2nd.  A bit nervous about what to eat while I'm out of town.  I'm sure I'll be able to find stuff to eat but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of places to eat or foods to look for to make my dining out while out of town--easier for me?

I've heard Wendy's Chili mentioned on this website many times by RNYer's.  I have eaten homemade chili at home since surgery so that works for me.  I was just curious to know if there were any more suggestions on what/where to eat.  Anyone who's in Seattle area or Portland area and you have some favorite eating spots since RNY...please share.

I'm still in the soft foods stage...but I can eat meats, etc.  Just staying away from what the Doctor recommended to stay away from until my next appt in JUNE. All ideas are appreciated.  Thanks!!!!

Well I can't think of a better place to get seafood.  Tom DOuglas has some amazing places in Seattle and if you stick to the seafood and leave the sides or go with veggies you should be ok.

When I travel I always go to the market and buy a cheap ice chest (the styro foam type) and fill with yogurt, cheese and stuff I can eat for breakfast and lunch then fish or sushi for dinner.

We had surgery the same day and I am allowed to eat pretty much anything I can tolerate.

I live in Portland and my favorite places post op are the same as they were pre op.  I haven't found a place that doesn't have something I can eat.
Where are you staying in Portland?  Downtown?  If you like seafood I have heard that Jake's is the best.

I haven't eaten there in years.
If you like steak then there is Ruth's Chris.

Or El Gaucho.

Expensive but well worth it.  You can always take home leftovers or share with your partner.
My favorite place is Buster's BBQ.  It's not downtown but not too far, either.  Very resonable prices, too.

If you have any favorite types of food let me know and I will try to find out the best places to get it here.
