I don't know what happened!!

I am 6 weeks out and last night I tried some rotisserie chicken from Kroger. It tasted horrible. It wasn't even worth the effort. As soon as I ate it I started getting nauseated and my stomach was cramping. I was trying to wait it out to let it digest but I started coughing and that was all she wrote. I was puking. I didn't heave like normal puking. It was like I would gag. It wasn't painful at all. It was more like mucous or phlegm too but with pieces of chicken mixed in. Once it was all out of my stomach I was fine. I am guessing this is my first dump from all the fat that was in that chicken. Any ideas?

id say that was definately not dumping...... prob more like the foamies. I still have trouble with all meats especially chicken. Gets stuck and either hurts like heck till its gone or i get the foamies and feel better eventually!!

We get to eat so little, I don't swallow anything that doesn't taste good.  I spit it out and find something else.  Even a piece of cheese is better than yucky chicken.

6 weeks out chicken was one of the worst things for me to eat.  Especially stuff from the store as it tends to dry out under heating lamps.  For me it had to do with the length of the fibers in the meat and the amount of chewing.  you may want to try small cut pieves that go across the fibers so you can control more the length of the fiber you will swallow even if you don't chew enough.

To be totally honest it was about 7 months before any meat besides fish was easy for me and some meats still aren't.

Yep, you got the foamies. The first time that happened to me I thought that I had dumped too, because I got hot, nauseous, and all that good stuff. But, it was the foamies and once you get it all up, everythings fine! My culprit, on several occasions, was chicken also. It didn't do it every time, but after the 3rd or 4th time I just eat beef, turkey, shrimp, etc., just no chicken! I'll try it again in a couple of months and see how it goes. I looked at it like kind of an initiation!!

I have found that with chiken the only way I can eat it at this point is when it is shreaded or ground. A lot of people have issues with chicken I am told. I was also told to stick to dark meat for now as it is easier to tolerate.

I ate the legs so I was eating the dark meat. I know I can't handle the dryness of the breast..I called my doctors office to get something for nausea because since this happened I have had a little nausea and his coordinator told me I shouldn't have eaten it. I am still on pureed and i ground it up in a blender so it was sorta pureed but it would have been nasty pureed.. I have stuck to my plan since I got a chewing from my surgeon a few weeks ago for eating chili unpureed. These bites we so small a baby could have eaten them. She said if it won't fit through a straw do NOT eat it.. When I was in the hospital 2 days after surgery they brought me some eggs that wouldn't have fit through a straw. lol Hell, neither will yogurt or pudding. My nutritionist is supposed to call me in the morning to tell me what I can have. I eat soft cheeses too. Cheese basically melts before it hits your stomach. I just don't get it. I guess I'm in for another chewing when I see him again..I have stuck to the plan for the most part. Maybe the chicken last night wasn't completely pureed but it was mushy like. oh well, I guess we take our lumps in life and I am due another one.

My surgeon told me not to eat beef for a year so I've been eating only chicken, boneless pork chops  and boneless fish fillets. He said beef is hard to digest and therefore should be avoided.  I can't tell you badly I've wanted a cheeseburger without the bun.
