WEDNESDAY GRATEFUL POST

  Morning Everyone,

Thank GOD I have my son's wedding cake all baked now.   I have made 16 cake layers going from 16" down to 6".   The smell almost made me ill yesterday.   I just finished baking the last layer.    I have to now go and buy the things and make flower arrangements to go between the columns of the cake.   Thank God they don't marry everyday.    I really didn't want to take this on.....but I couldn't let his fiancee go with no cake for her wedding.    For you who care and don't know....the wedding is friday.   Now....enough of that.    This post is to remind us all that no matter how bleak that life seems to us there is ALWAYS something in our lives no matter how small to be grateful for.   Even if it is just for waking up to another day in which to live our lives to the fullest.    PLEASE feel free to share with us what you are grateful for today.    Here are a few of the things that I am grateful for........

For all the cakes now finished baking and about to go into the freezer,
For my sons and my future DIL,
For my husband who has been putting up with me stressing over the wedding cake,
For my Life and Health,  Family and Friends, Faith and Answered Prayers,
For my WLS and all the choices of WLS today,
For remaining somewhat sane during all the stress that I am under with this wedding,
For God and his grace that has been shown toward me in my life,
For Obesity Help and all the different message boards ....OH staff and this website,
For Support Groups,
For upcoming OH Conference in New Orleans, La.  Sept. 9-10.   Can't wait !!!!

Congrats on the wedding.  Sounds like quite the cake.  Thanks for sharing.

 Fran.....I don't know that I will ever want to SEE a cake after the wedding is over.   LOL   We still have to decorate it tomorrow too.   I have spent all day today making flower arrangements to go inside of the columns between the four cakes.   UGH made 3 arrangements and that was a big job.   Then tomorrow to decorate and ice the cake and do the top arrangement for the cake since no one uses traditional bride and grooms anymore.    LOL    Then friday trying to get it from my sister's house to the church.   UGH major stress for me.    Let's just say I will be thrilled when saturday comes.   LOL   have a blessed day and thank you.

Congrats on the wedding! My mom made my wedding cake - that's another story - so I know that's a MAJOR undertaking!!

I'm grateful for being 213 today (down from 267!)
I'm grateful for moving on to soft/solid foods this week
I'm grateful for my 1 month surgiversary
I'm grateful for the 9 years I've been with my DH
I'm grateful for the clients who didn't jump ship during my recovery
I'm grateful for NO MORE GAS PAINS!!!!!!!! WOOOO HOOO!!!!!!

Your not kidding.   It has been 10 yrs. or longer since I helped my sister make a wedding cake.   The hardest part is decorating it tomorrow and putting it all together then doing it again on friday and transporting it to the church.    I am praying big time it doesn't get dropped.   The bottom alone once it is decorated will weight about 40 lbs.     Congrats on your progression and WL.    Amazing job you are doing already !!
