I see my surgeon tomorrow but I got my blood test results from my job because I work in the same office as the lab that I got my blood work done at. My vitamin A is down even though my centrum chewables have vitamin A.  Are there vitamin A chewables since I'm assuming I will need to take that now. Also my vitamin D is still very low, and it was before surgery. My calcium has 1000IU of vit D in it so I take 2000 IU of vitamin D a day with my calcium, apparently not enough. Are there 50,000 IU chewables that I can take once a week anywhere? Anyway, here are my results.

IRON  64   -- normal range 8-146
UIBC 223  --- normal range 123-381
TIBC 287 --- normal range 190 - 434
IRON % SATURATION - 22   normal 25-45  (this was done before I started taking my 65mg of iron so I am not sure if now it will be better)

Ferritin - 128   normal range 10-145

Calcium 9.9  normal range 8.4 - 10.6

Vitamin A (Retinol)  30  -- normal range 38-106

VIT B-12   998  normal range 241-897 ( lab states this is high at 998)
FOLATE - 18.3    normal range 2.9 - 17.7

Vitamin D 25 -  26.6   normal range 30.0 - 100.0

Calcium Ionized  - 5.3   normal 4.8 - 5.5

There are more parts of the lab that I did not type out, if I missed something important let me know and I will type it, this was just what I figured I needed to post.

Do you need to have chewables?  Vitalady has vitamin A and D in the dry form at a high dosage.  They are very small capsules and have no problem being swallowed.  Those are what I take.
Don't worry about the B12.  We want that high.  I am shooting for over 1000.

I am going to ask tomorrow if I can start swallowing small pills. I hate chewables but I'm not sure when I can start swallowing them. Funny thing my b12 is high and I haven't even started taking b12 subs yet and I was going to ask him tomorrow when I should start with injections

Don't bother with injections;  you can get a great sublingual tab for either B12 or a B-complex from Trader Joe's.  It melts under the tongue in about 30 seconds.  Injections are just money-makers for doctor's offices!

only reason i would get injections because i work for my primary care doctor and would not be charged for it - where as buying more vits is costly to me. just not sure how much b12 i actually need to keep it up

A and D are the size of Benadryl - eensy. Melt them in your mouth for 5-10 seconds and swallow if in doubt. But they're so tiny, unless you were absolutely broken, they'd go down anyway.

B12 subs are more costly than shots, true. Even if you pay for rx shots, it's cheap, cheap, cheap

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.

You need 200% of your daily vitamins so that is why they recommend 2 centrums.
