So I made turkey meatballs and froze them so that I could have a quick meal whenever I needed it.  Everytime I Have them it's like they are a lead brick in my pouch.  I chew chew chew but still get that feeling.  will this ever get better?  I'm really afraid to try to eat alot of protein as I don't like this feeling.  I do get in 60 -80 grams of protien a day through shakes and cottage cheese, yogurt etc.  i'd just like to be able to eat without this lead brick feeling.  has anyone experienced this?

Chicken and turkey do this to me.  Did you make a sauce to go with them?  And, it will get better with time.

Yes, I always cover them with sauce.  I even make sure there is sauce with it whne I put it my mouth.  I thought that ground turkey was suppose to be one of the easier meats to get down easily?

I had a really hard time with some Ground Turkey Friday night.  It got stuck.  I felt like I had to burp for 2 hours, but I was afraid to, thinking I would throw up.  Finally I tried some meat tenderizer hoping it would help it go down, but instead it made it come up.  It's hard to predict is all I can say.  I ate ground turkey three times that week and the first two times it was fine.

I did learn on Monday, if it feels like it is going to get stuck, STOP.  I had some fish get stuck, but was like "oh, I can maybe get it to move if  I try another bite."  Don't do it!!!

I can't handle chicken but ground turkey is usually fine. How are you reheating them? Microwaving will pull a lot of the moisture out. When I'm reheating something that I froze, I usually do it in a mini steamer bowl like the one I'm linking below. It's a good tool to have on hand!
