Why do I only "go" on Mondays?!

Why am I only having good bowel movements on Mondays? Does anyone else have this issue? I won't say problem in case it's perfectly normal, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it's not. I take Miralax every day in my protein shakes, so what's the deal?

I "go" every day.  If I do not - I get headache. so it is not an option for me.
I discovered that magnesium as supplement keeps me very regular.  I take additional 800-1200 mg of mag oxide a day - capsule forms. And I do not need Miralax. Just have to make sure I have enough fiber (I use flax meal - 2-3 Tbs per day)

I'm on day 9 of a stall at 42lbs. Do you think this might have something to do with it? I'm desperately trying to get under 200 before I go on vacation (5wks from now) and I'm scared I'm not going to make it. Obviously I want to make healthy choices and change the things that aren't healthy, but getting under 200 is my first mini-goal, and I would LOVE to meet it.

Well. I would think so... extra toxins need extra water to hold them.
I can't imagine not go for 3 days... a week? would kill me...

BTW: if you decide to star magnesium - you may try to do it slowly.  Get 200-400 mg of mag per day. (IMO - works great taken before bed - relaxes you).
After a week - if you still have not regular BM - increase by 200-400 for 4-5 days.   (the level of mag build up in blood and tissue_ once we have enough - the rest gets dumped into the colon and small  bowel - and will ge****er in - create more volume - easy ..soft BM.
If loose stools happen - decrease by 400mg for 2 days and then add 200 mg of the following day.  It is a fine line. But I do not mind getting more BM some days - I know I have been cleaned of toxins... and the BM are not like with stimulants - there are not much cramping... just easy do it.. Every morning... some days - 2 times a day.

It is critical to drink enough water r- liquids during the day - every day. Since Mag will pull water into your colon - and if you do not drink enough - that may leave you dehydrated.  It is a fine line.

Good luck...

I'm a stay at homer... Every day is the same LOL

I DID have Starbucks this morning, but it was decaf, and I usually have it most days anyway. I don't have it EVERY day, because that's too many empty calories. But I don't go on the same days as I have the coffee...

Awww ... I was just thinking this morning how great it would be to be a stay at homer! :)

Just a guess with the coffee. My auntie also had gastric bypass and she told me the coffee helps her get things moving.
