Cat, that's fantastic!  You've done so well and look fabulous... I'm proud of you.  You've always had an excellent attitude and I think that really helps in the process as well.  Without doubt, you will reach your goal (or where your body ultimately wants to be!) in no time at all...

Way to go!!

Hi There!

First congrats on 6 months of glowing success!!

2nd, I'm curious.... do you have support groups in the Netherlands?  I'm in Austria, and we don't have any support.  There are informational groups, but they don't meet for support per se.

Also, I'm curious about your vitamin regime. My surgeon (one of the pioneers of this surgery), has a very different vitamin protocol compared to his U.S. counterparts.

Thanks for the info!  And best of luck for continued success!!!!

Best wishes,
Linda

Hi Linda!

Thanks for your support :-) We do not have support groups  as much as the USA. But my surgeon has a plan in which we get 8 meetings with other patients afterwards. So we do get together with them and the nut and psych and talk about stuff, but it is only once a month and only 8 times. So no ongoing support groups!

By the way, we have not much literature either on wls, so I am filling tthat gap right now by writing a book

My surgeon says: take a multi and we'll see when you get deficient. I however took a more aggresive approach and decided to take the US route. Now I take multi, B12 and calcium citrate. I TRY to remember iron, but with all the restrictions it has in terms of when to take it, i forget most of the times. I decided that my surgeon knows a lot, and he is the best in my country when it comes to cutting and pasting, but he is no endocrinologist or nut, so I do my own reserach. By the way, he KNOWS that I take all this and gives his blessing. Can';t hurt, according to him
