 How funny, I did the same thing.  I went to the store and bought all the ingredients.  One of the reasons I don't cook a lot is because I hate chopping things so I bought a mini food chopper.  Only problem is it didn't chop the vegetables as much as pureed them.  Oh well, I still sauteed them and I think it will turn out alright.
The other reason I don't cook a lot is because my kids, especially my youngest, don't like to eat what I cook.  So I will probably be having taco casserole for a long time.  I will freeze several portions to have another time.
I should have bought taco shells or chips for the kids.  Maybe that would have made it more appealing to them.
I will try to remember to take a picture and post it later on.

I had it for lunch today, some that I had made and froze the leftovers.  I do get chips and son and hubby eat it like nachos.  I eat it plain.  Yummmmm

 I am so mad!  I made it and after 30 minutes checked and the cheese wasn't quite bubbly enough so I left it in the oven (turned off) and when to check a little bit later and the top was all brown and hard.  I can't believe I ruined it :(  It was still yummy, I just had to take off the cheese.  Oh well, the dogs will be happy to eat the cheese.  I suppose I could remove the cheese and put some more on and try it again.
