Surgery tomorrow, clear liquids were o****il today, my blood sugar is all ove the place, 60 one minute eat 2 popscicles, then blood sugar 160. Hyper one minute, confused and making no sense the next.  I sure hope this surgery cures my diabetes!  I work in the pre-op area and tomorrow I will be the patient.......kinda weird.

gone wild for sure.  Your odds are good that your type II diabetes will go away very soon after surgery.  I stopped my meds immediately.

best of luck tomorrow!

Just for giggles ask them if you can put in your own catheter (I did that once, got a good laugh from the pre-op nurse!) It is hard being on the other side of the bed...I'm usually pretty easy going, but can spot weakness even without my glasses on!! I hope you have an easy time of it...at least you know the staff will have your best intersts at heart! Good luck tomorrow!!
