Thank You!

On Monday I posted on here about my morning smoothie and it got picked apart because of all the carbs and the volume.  I was so disheartened by the feedback because I felt like I had just wasted the last 3 months and I was going to fail at this weight loss attempt as I had all the others.  I honestly wanted to just give up and start eating all the crap that I used to have.  I know this seems a little extreme but I wasn't in a good headspace at the time because of other personal issues.

Well after a few hours I shook off those feelings and was really thankful for the posts and the suggestions.  Since then I have really watched my carbs and my fats, etc and now I step on the scale and am 5 lbs lighter!  I am so happy!

I love this forum and the people on it!  Thank you to everyone for being so open and sharing their opinions and suggestions!

I'm so happy for you.  I know it is hard for me when I see someone post about eating something that may sabotage their weight loss and how to help them without seeming judgmental.  I know for me, and I am sure all the others, we only have the other person's best interest in mind, and for me anyway, my sincere desire is to see everyone have the kind of success you are enjoying right now.

I have noticed sometimes people reply in a rather snippy way sometimes. I dont think they mean to, they can just see someone making mistakes that maybe they themselves made and learned the hard way about, or just see you doing something they know will hrut you in the long run. So their intentions are good, its just the delivery thta needs some ehlp lol. I try to look past it but sometimes it really gets to me. Everyone needs to remember that at one point, we were all newbies at this WLS game, had the same questions and concernes and made amny of the same mistakes. How would you have liked to have been replied to back then? But again, I dont think anyone means any harm in their replies, they truly are trying to help :)....glad you got something out of your replies though and good luck with things!

Geez I wrote that wrong! I appreciate everyone *****plied and how they replied, they were not being mean or anything just honest which is what I needed.  It is great to have a place to come that honest feedback especially from people who have been there and know what I'm doing wrong.    I was just frustrated with myself that day but now I know I'm getting on the right track!

Thanks again!

You need to give yourself a little more credit that that...

You took a NSV and turned it into a scale victory as well.  I know it is not easy to hear that something you thought was good for you was, in fact, not the best choices.  You faced the negative inside "fat-girl voice" that we all have battled for years and instead of giving in and consoling yourself with food, you shook it off and then took your new lessons and applied them and now look at that scale!  You rocked that challenge and I am proud of you!!!  Bravo.

I am creating my own revolution and PAMdemonium reigns!
