WTH...Totally Disgusted
Granted I did not feel good yesterday, the pouch was upset. But I did eat protein and I did drink quite a bit since it was so dog garn hot, but instead of losing I actually gained 3#. How can that be? I thought the scale was sppose to be going down. I'm 7 weeks out from RNY and haven't lost anything so to speak in the past two weeks.
I'm starting to wander if this was what I should have done. I have been living on yogurt, cottage cheese, ground turkey, seafood and protein shakes. I wish I could just sink my teeth into a nice juicy steak and salad without worrying about dumping.

I feel your pain......I sometimes think when we drink alot it can actually cause the scale to flucuate. However, the weight will come off again so dont worry. If you do not eat it can cause us to NOT lose weight...Body goes into starvation mode. So try to eat 3 meals a day.....keep drinking so important....if hungry have a healthy snack and it will come off. Mine is coming off slow but it is coming off. If you follow the plan and eat properly it has no choice but to leave! LOL......This is so frustrating I know.....hang in there. Weigh you food portions if possible......I do not drink the shakes anymore and eat very low fat healthy meals.
FYI ~ I had my original RNY in 2001 - had a revision 4/28/11 and down 25 lbs so far. Another 40-50 to go....I am going to do it if it kills me LOL.....I dont care if takes me a year I know in my heart I am doing the right thing. And it sounds like you are too. Just keep the portions between 3-4oz per meal to avoid the pouch to stretch! Make smart choices.....somethings I did not do the 1st time. I am blessed with this 2nd chance and determined....You will do great....hang in there.
Eat the salad....but eat the protein first. Weigh your steak 3-4oz and take small bites chew well..I bet you wont even be able to eat the whole 3-4oz.....Dont deprive yourself.....protein is good...salad is good.....Just take your time....
Good luck!

I feel your pain! I've been stuck for 2 weeks now also. I've been exercising, eating right and getting in all my fluids, protein and nothing. It's very frustrating! My hubby said something to me the other day that made sense though--it's good that our bodies "stop" losing the pounds every so often to give our bodies and skin a chance to catch up! So instead of getting upset, I now know that this so called "stall" is giving my flabby arms a chance to catch up!
Just keep doing everything right and your body can't help but lose the weight!!
Just keep doing everything right and your body can't help but lose the weight!! DEE, 1st breathe deep, take a couple of minutes and give yourself some slack. 2ND hide the scale, only weigh yourself once a week. I weigh in on Fridays after my shower. I also weigh in fully clothed (Weird I know, but I weigh in at the Dr's office with clothes so I want the same at home). 3rd you are not that far out and a stall is normal at this time.
Give yourself a break you can do this. It will work if you follow the rules.
Have a great day!

Yup! Been there! I notice that when it's colder outside I tend to fall off the "I got my water in" wagon. Once it's hot I drink drink drink, get in more water than suggested and I end up gaining 3-5 lbs but that's the good part...after about a week of it ...it comes back off plus more =) No worries! I had a small stall at 7 weeks and it lasted 2 weeks. Wait till you hit a 2 month stall....FRUSTRATING!!
RNY - August 13, 2010
LBL - October 29, 2012
a total of 271 lbs lost!!
I was just about to post the same thing when I saw what you had written! I'm 5 weeks out today. I'm down 38 lbs. The dang scale hasn't moved in over a week except to go UP 1 lb last week!!! WTH?? I want it to go down, down, down. Disgusted. I know I'm eating more now but heck aren't we suppose to eventually. As soon as I started eating, the scale stopped. Makes me almost want to go back on that stupid liquid diet but I was soooo tired and exhausted during that time. I will take that 1 lbs because I feel better physically. Emotionally it is taking a toll. I go back to the doc on Thursday for my 6 week checkup and I wanted to be at 40 by then. Oh well...doesn't look like that will be happening!
