How's everyone doing?  Where are you in your eating tolerance?  Are you glad you did it?

I am doing well.  77 pds down, 50 since my March 8th surgery.  My exercising is less than desirable - much less.   Started at Size 32 or 34 (4X-5X).  Seem to be at the 3X, 26/28 stage now.  Started to have a milk intolerance in the past week.  I have not tried sweets and not planning on it anytime soon.  All I've had is a bite.  It's been in the past month I have reached the stage of being glad I did this.  Never really had regrets except at about 3 weeks, but also wasn't doing any kind of dance about it.  Now... to get the exercise stuff going...ugh!

Please check in if you have a minute!

Hey Tessie! I'm doing good too. Down 50 pounds since surgery on March 7th. Went from a 24 dress size to an 18. I do weight training 3 times a week but most of my cardio is done at home with the kids. I'm still trying to find a good meal plan but have not really had any complications or intolerances. Once I had a problem and it was due to eating too fast. I still feel very tired at times, more often then not. Hopefully that will change soon... How is your energy?

Hey ladies I'm at 50 Pds too! No real complications, I've been at the gym 6x a week and eating good and getting my protien in. But the vitamins have been a struggle ESP the multivitamin they get stuck and I end up chucking them back up If they stay down I burp them up for the next hour! But I'd do it all over again!

Hey guys! So far I've lost 44lbs. My ticker is wrong. I actually started out at 258lbs, but when I tried to change it some "funky" stuff happened, so i just leave it. I have had no complications, if you don't count the ER trip I went to for constipation. That's the only thing I'm having an issue with. I've tried everthing, but I'm going back to my PCP soon and we'll work something else out then. I've gone from a size 22 pants to a 16 or 18. My 3-5x tops (depending on the make) to a 2x in all shirts! I've had things stuck about 3 times, but that was my own fault for not chewing properly or eating too fast. All in all, this has definately been the best thing I've ever done!!!
I only strive to be, the kind of person my dogs think I am!

Hi Tessie!  I had surgery on March 7th.  I'm down 32 lbs.  I am able to eat everything.  I accidently ate some low-fat greek yogurt (didn't realize that it was loaded with sugar)  I didn't dump.  I really don't eat sweets because all the protein shakes, etc... are so sweet I just can't handle any more, lol.  (this coming from the girl that used to have a candy bar for breakfast)

I don't regret this surgery for a moment.  I've had a really easy time of it.  I haven't gotten anything stuck, foamies or throwing up.  I did eat too fast a couple of times and that hurt, but nothing that would ever change my mind about the surgery.

You are doing great!  I wish my weight loss was as good as others from the same surgery day.  I get discouraged that it seems so slow at times.  I lost 53 lbs before surgery on my own, so I'm going with the advice that those that do lose a lot before tend to be slower loser.  It makes me feel better.

Congrats on your amazing journey.  Thanks for asking about us March 7ers.

Hey Tess-

I am doing great..down 72lbs after surgery. I went from a 5X down to a 3X and wear a size 24 in jeans. I find myself not eating much--the Dr lets me have 1/4 of a cup 3 times a day. My exercise routine is nada but I do move around more. I get bored very easily with food and wouldn't eat if I didn't have to. I had an ulcer starting up a few weeks asgo but the acid reflux pills fixed it up quickly. I don't regret my WLS, I do miss eating like I did but that is life-eh?  So happy we are all doing so well.

My energy is very good.  My big issue is little relief with arthritis pain and not being able to take NSAIDS def makes it worse.

I can eat just about anything but untoasted breads and raw veggies (not on my plan right now).  I also eat up to 3/4 c per meal (4 times a day)  I watch calories and protein.  Shoot for at least 60g protein and no more than 1200 cal.  I range 800-1200 and that seems to work well with the weight loss.  When I styaed totally on the lower end my loss was not very good.

I am off my bp medicine!!!  YAY  I was only borderline high so I didn't have a huge hurdle there.

Great to see you are all doing so awesome!

Hey Tessie!

So glad you are doing well.  I have no regrets and feel very grateful for this surgery.  My hardest time was during the first few weeks.  Also struggled with some bad constipation but think I am getting passed that now THANK goodness.  I have not explored as much as I probably should food wise....I am traveling some over the next weeks and this will force me to try new things.  I do not like the foamies so this is why I get nervous.  I have not tried high carbs or any sweets yet and do not plan to for awhile.  I have no clue if I dump.  Glad to be compliant.

I exercise 3Xweek and need to increase that to 5.  Was going 4-5 x week before surgery. Stamina is still an issue on work days sometimes. I have started jogging and this is a HUGE goal for me......ran 10 minutes straight.....my first goal was to be able to run a mile and I hope to meet this at the end of summer.

I wish all of us the best!!!

VERY glad I did it! I am 54 lbs down and 1 pound away from Onederland. In a size 14 from a 20. Not eating much these days but I am eating very healthy. I am on the exercise train and I am running a mile daily, lifting weights, and taking three karate classes a week. I feel more empowered everything I do!! Not thrilled about running but I want to do things I haven't done before and I've always stunk at running.

I've had three foamies episodes and one of those resulted in vomiting. I still don't know why. Since two involved bites of red meat I think I just didn't have the tolerance for it. The other was three ounces of salmon and I still don't get that.

I haven't tried sweets. I don't intend to; I lost the craving for them and I don't want it back. Sick of protein shakes and I am trying to get all my protein from food. My typical day is an egg white with veggie omelet for breakfast, sushi or fish with a salad for lunch, and whatever I can find for dinner.
