Am I over doing it?

Hello, earlier this week I went to my first (2 week) post-op appointment and was told by another WL surgeon that I was doing great and therefore now allowed to start exercising, swimming and going about living a normal life style....
My question is this:  Am I overdoing it by workout on my elliptical trainer for 45 min.? Also, is it not too soon to go in a pool, I am only 16 days post-op?

I think they usually want you out of the water for 6 weeks, until they are sure your incision's have healed well enough so you don't contract an infection.  Call your surgeon's office and ask.

Two weeks seems a bit soon for swimming. I know I still had unhealed incision points for at least a month. As to overdoing it with the eliptical, your body will let you know if that's too much, in pretty clear terms.

Glad to hear u r having a speedy recovery! My surgeon said it was ok to swim after 1 week. I waited until ny incisions were closed bevause i was freaking out that the chlorine would hurt it.
As far as 45 mins on the eliptical i wouldnt pu**** too hard. I think it deoends on your fitness level. For me i was walking 3-4 miles daily and have felt completely fine. Just listen to ur body
