I need a pep talk or a swift kick in the ass...
I never drink after my meals. I always wait at least 30 minutes. If it's a big meal for me I usually wait even longer. It helps to feel full longer and it helps to not stretch out your pouch. There is an anatomical/post surgery reason to do so. I just can't see the rationale for not drinking before you eat. That's what I would ask your doctor about.

2 cookies and .5 oz of pasta in one week during TOM is not that bad. What would it have been before surgery? No one will be perfect, just hopefully better. You can't beat yourself up over every little bump in the road. Get up, start over, move on. You are doing great. I can only wish 47 lbs. in 5 weeks!
This surgery is one of the hardest things we will ever endure in our lives. It is not brain surgery, just a tool to help us lose weight.
When I am tempted to eat something that I feel is not a good choice. I say to myself...."I am CHOOSING not to eat this" ~ I am making a choice. It is very empowering, when you choose to do something to better yourself. Remember you have the control to choose what you put into your body.
Remember we are all human, learning daily and making mistakes or poor choices........Try to talk to yourself before you eat it.....say I am choosing not too...........eat this or that.....make that choice to get yourself healthy. Make that commitment to yourself to change your old habits....
PS: Congrats on your weight loss - you must be doing something right along the way too. Try to focus on that and continue!
Best of luck!!!

Acceptance means that you can find the serenity within to let go of the past with its mistakes and regrets, move into the future with a new perspective, and appreciate the opportunity to take a second chance!
I am in the same boat but trying to jump out is very difficult. this last 2 weeks has been pure hell and I dont see and end until atleast mid June. My car was damaged in a tornado and I had to make 3 calls to progressive to even get an adjuster out which didnt happen until a week later and now with all the damage they say it wont be fixed until the 17th
so because I cant afford a rental I have been staying at my moms where there is ice cream aplenty and I do not have the will power to avoid it especially as stressed as I have been I dont buy the stuff at home and if I do get the urge I buy one single serving and that is it. So needless to say I have been a very bad girl. Atleast I am getting my protein in and fluids but eating has been horrible

I have to say that this was the first month where I gave in to the tom cravings. Really was frustrating and upset me that I gave in. But we will move on and remember to make good choices. I have of lately been having a cup of strong decaf coffee and it really takes away my cravings. I also dring alot of decaf tea as well. But thought I would share the coffee tip as will seems to help me some.
Good luck.
Good luck.
