Sneaky little protein powder and an NSV para mi'

So, I am trying to get back on track, right?  I made a cup of coffee and put a half scoop of vanilla protein powder and a lil cream in it.  OMG, it was great and didn't even need any sweetner.  10g of protein without any real effort.  Put me over 82g for the night and added fluid.  I am whooping it up.  If I knew then what I knew now... WOW!!!!!!

Then yesterday I wanted to wear a sun dress and of all the cute fat lady sun dresses I spent a lot of money on last summer.....NONE of them fit.  ALL too BIG.   WHAT, I have to go shopping.  I also bought a new pair of scrubs, just on just to see.  2x, versus 3-4x.  Yes, I am whooping it up some more.  Ok, have a good night.

Way to go!  Those kind of little victories definitely make dealing with the day to day aspects of post-op life a lot easier to handle!

Keep it up...

Congrats on getting into smaller sizes!  Funny how we don't get so mad when we have to buy new clothes because our clothes are too BIG, but man alive do we ever get mad when we have to buy new clothes when our clothes are too small!  Have fun buying the smaller sizes!!

I have my cup of protein coffee every morning.  When it's really hot - like NOW - I make an iced protein coffee.  I used to use Click, but it was so expensive and I didn't really like the way it mixed.  Now I use Designer Whey (not my favorite, but it mixes easily).

One litt.e piece of moderately bad news.  The fluid in coffee does not count toward your water intake for the day.  Coffee is really a negative water intake (but I ignore that).

I WISH I could wear sundresses.  But my bat wings are just too bad.

Awesome!  I do choc protein with instant coffee evey morning (I'm 8 years out!)

If the dresses are A- line, or pretty simple you can take them in really easily.  Stitch straight up the sides.

I'm lucky and have a serger (it cuts the fabric and stitches the sides like a T-shirt)  & the extra fabric is permanantly gone.  When I do it for my skinny kids pants I use a reg machine.

Scrubs are easy to take in too-  I had some really cut 3x's

I still have one protein supplement per day during the week, and it is almost always a scoop of vanilla or unflavored protein powder in some SF hot chocolate.  The vanilla makes it taste like I melts a marshmallow in it.  (I'm not much of a coffee drinker, and it bothers my pouch since surgery (but soda doesn't!), but I love the SF hot chocolate... I drink it until the outside temp**** 90.)
