At my 1 week post op appointment my doctor was funny! But bless his giant heart he cares for his patients deeply.

He pulled my drain out. YEAH!!!! and it didnt hurt near as bad as I feared it would. He checked  my belly and all the holes he put there.

I am now on soft foods. YEAH!!!!

I am getting better daily and hope to continue on my trek on the loosing side of the mountain.

Wow! Fantastic!

I am so happy you posted....I've never had any surgery, but recently my 9 y/o broke her arm...if she didn't cry, I won't either!

Congratulations on you first week!
I am a new creation.

Are you planning surgery? If so have you decided which one?

The first week is affectionaly called HELL WEEK. Believe me it was. I was so very down one day it was horrible. Please feel free to read my blog I will answer any questions you may have.

Your daughter was brave!!!!

I have 3 daughters and a son..... one daughter in TX, son in GA and the last 2 are still at home. Love them while they are there because they grow so terribly fast.

Amy I smile when I say your name it is my eldest daughter name.

Amy good luck in all your endevores!!! Please note that the first week SUCKS!!! I hated it. My surgery was on a Tuesday and on Friday I had a mental meltdown. I bawled my eyes out. I hurt so bad. And crying hurt more.

Words of wisdom..... Use the breath dealy thinger-bob. Dont be afraid to ask the nurses to help you. AND WALK WALK WALK AS SOON AS YOU CAN!!!! And dont be afraid to ask for pain meds.
Sleep in the recliner once home. lol

I am a full week out and can look back and laugh about my first week. Please feel free to read my blog days. They will give you my point of view.
