Isopure and Click
So yesterday I tried Isopure punch for the first time.
IDK how people drink this stuff. Ugh. I don't think I will ever drink that stuff again.
Well today, I am trying Click Mocha for the first time. ( I ordered it from drugstore.com for 18 and some change plus I need a few more things so I got free shipping. Good deal) The click has a VERY strong coffee taste. I personally love coffee, so great. I like it. If it had more protein and less carbs it would be perfect. I am going to order the vanilla in Click too. I am wondering what a scoop of each would taste like.....

OMG... that ISPOURE PUNCH AND GRAPE FROSTt are the WORST! I bought them pre-op thinking I could drink them when I'd be on clear liquids... UGH! Had to pour it down the sink! The worse taste and smell ever! Smelled like the worse medicine on the planet. And they are NOT cheap either.
TO ANYONE OUT THERE READING THIS.... SAVE YOUR $... DON'T BUY IT!

We were not allowed coffee in first 6 months post op...
BTW I do drink cofee now - and I use 1 scoop Click and I add 1 scoop chocolate or vanilla whey isolate. The click has proteins but not whey isolate...

Isopure can be YUK, but not so bad if you divide it up with bottled spring water. Because i'm cheap, i refused to pour it out so came up with a remedy. And i'm with Hala on the Click - One scoop mixed with another whey isolate does the trick. Pretty sure the directions on the Click call for TWO scoops and thats caffeine overload.
I kept hearing about all the Isopure hype, so I went to Vitamin Shoppe, about 2 months ago, and got a single bottle out of their fridge section and it was vile! I don't know how people drink that crap! So, I thought to myself, well they had the Isopure smoothies too, so the next time I went, I got one of those. Still nasty. I am not one to complain about stuff being "yucky" like my chewable vitamins or protein shakes. I do both of them every day, I look at it like medicine. If I want to be healthy and have WLS work for me, I better learn to like them. And I do! But, the Isopure, I just can't do it. It turns my mouth inside out and I can't get rid of the taste in my mouth for hours!
As far as the Click goes, I just tried it about 3 days ago. I can't buy any right now, but had a good friend let me try hers. Again, because of ALL the hype. I had the vanilla because I know that I don't like strong coffee, and I'm a vanilla freak. The first time I made it with 2 scoops of Click and 1/2 scoop of regular vanilla protein powder I had at home. It was WAY too strong. The taste was just too over powering. So, the next time I made it with 1 scoop of Click and 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder, added some Torani SF vanilla syrup, and a bunch of Splenda. It was heavenly!! I loved it. The next time I get any money, I'm gonna have to order some. It wasn't too much caffeine either. I haven't had caffeine in 3 months, but I wasn't jittery, I just felt refreshed, like I had a little boost. I flt bright eyed and bushy tailed, but not wired. So, to make a VERY long story short...Try the one scoop mixed with some other protein powder, and play with flavors, like the SF syrups and sweeteners. I'll bet you can find a recipe that will suit you well!

OK you wimps. Grammy Amah here - I use two scoops of Click mocha and one scoop of Unjury unflavored and if possible I mix with real Starbucks expresso!!! Get the picture. I don't know what jittery is - I'm so laid back I almost fall over backwards!! I also LOVE Isopure Grape Frost so I guess those are just personal preferences and sensitivity to caffiene. I also eat red pepper flakes on everything so maybe my taste buds are burned up.
Everyone likes different things and as long as you are getting in your protein the vehicle that you use to get it done is just a personal preference. Just don't kid yourself that you can eat enough protein - you just can't OMHO!
