i suffered from PCOS with insulin resistance. my periods stopped all together but since 4 days after surgery i have gotten my period on a 28/30 day cycle like a normal woman. my high testosterone is steadily decreasing and my female hormones are picking up(obviuosly since im ovulating and getting periods). No new hair growth and i see the dark patches on my neck improving. hopefully my under arms clear up too...oh and im not steadily gaining 10 lbs every 2 months anymore!!! What symptoms do you exactly suffer from?

Facial hair, which causes hyperpigmentation on my face. It makes me want to scream. I've always had clear skin. I also do not have periods at all naturally. I have to use birth control in order to induce my mentral. My hair is also EXTREMELY thin in the crown area.

I have PCOS and my worst issue was infertility.  My 2 1/2 year old daughter was conceived though fertility treaments and IUI.  I was on birth control post surgery, but 9 months post-op, I found out I was pregnant again--naturally.

I've had PCOS most of my life (I'm 34, was diagnosed in my teens). I've lost weight fast and easily since surgery, and last month, had my first spontaneous (not aided by birth control or Provera) period since I can remember. Both my surgeon and my reproductive endo have said that weight loss is THE key componant to treating PCOS.
