Not the same ole question about protein.
Hey peoples. Well I have been losing pretty good, but I am having an issue with my eating. Here is the situation. I work Friday Saturday and Sunday nights. I work out of town, so I travel 62 miles to work. I have a family member who lives close to my job so I stay with her on the weekend. I always bring food with me and my protein and my blender and my vites and so on and such. Well, It is getting tiring to bring all this crap with me and sometimes I have too much food and sometimes I run out. My question is this
"CAN I GO ALL WEEKEND ANF JUST DRINK PROTEIN SHAKES?"
WILL IT HAVE A GOOD OR BAD EFFECT ON MY WEIGHT LOSS?
WILL I GET ILL FROM IT?

It's always best to try to eat protein rich foods, and use shakes to supplement your protein intake. Your digestive system needs to get used to processing foods, not just liquids. Even at 5 years post op, I augment foods with unflavored whey isolate protein mixed into the foods. Best to eat something within 30 minutes of waking up too, to start your metabolism off during the day. The first 6 months is when you need to pay close attention to your protocol, as this is the honeymoon period where it's easiest to lose wt. DAVE

I think it's not a good idea. I know it's hard because we don't eat much and there are always leftovers. How about things like cheesesticks that you could leave behind at your friend's house? Other things that might work..lunch meat from the deli, protein bars, little packs of peanut butter.
Good luck.

Not the best idea, I have to agree with the others on this. You should check out this site:

She makes up her meals ahead of time and puts them in little tupperware type trays (like frozen dinners). You could do this ahead of time, that way you won't have too much, or too little!
If you are like me (I can't preplan to save my life) you can buy cans of either tuna or chicken (lowest percentage of fat possible) and leave them at your family member's house along with some wraps in their freezer. That way you have food there and don't have to drag it there.
As far as your pills, any non prescription pills you could buy extra bottles of and leave them there or leave them in the glove box/trunk of your car. You could also get another blender (second hand is always a lot cheaper!) and leave that in your car so you don't have to pack it.
Gosh I hope this helps. What we all do just to make a living now a days! Good luck to you, my friend!

I have a fabric bag that I use when traveling. I keep protein powder, a blender bottle, protein bars, cheese stick so whenever I need to, I can get something good it. At this point, I can find something to eat pretty much anywhere. I traveled 2 days over the weekend and ate Wendy's chili, Arbys salad, the inside of an Arby's sub. I spent the night with my sister so I ate what I could of dinner and had a scrambled egg for breakfast. Keep it simple but try to at least have some real food each day. As your options increase, it will be easier.
