Wow, I can't believe this day has come!  I'm excited but it feels so surreal!  Now I have questions for you who have been here for a while.  I'm 9 months out from RNY.  I  still don't feel like eating most of the time.  I drink Unjury shakes to get about 80 grams of protein in.  Is it OK to stay on the shakes.  I read someone's blog that said NO.  I don't know what I'd do without them. How do I maintain and not lose weight now? Any advice is very much appreciated!  I am so happy I could screeeeeeeeam!  I knew I could share with you!  Thank you so much!

Thank you Laura!  So we seem to be real close as far as losing our weight in 9 months and our pre-op weights.  So how has it been keeping it off so far.  You are past the 1 year point now, that's great!  Did your body just stop losing?  Did you have to eat more?  Do you supplement with protein bars or shakes?  I supplement with both to get the protein in.  Would love to hear more.  Thanks again and congratulations to you too!!!  Great job!

My weight has been stable (within 5lbs) since Mid-March.  I do eat more now than I did before -- but since my weight is stable and below goal, I don't worry about it.  I'll get things in check if I have any substantial gain that is not fluid related.  Not to say that I don't worry about re-gain, I do, so I'm a daily weigher.  I'm 5'5" and fluctuate between 120-125.

I still supplement with protien bars - I love them and have one for breakfast everyday.  I never liked most shakes and couldn't wait to get rid of them!

Congrats again on reaching goal!  Welcome to maintenance!
Laura

Hi again Laura:  Can I ask you what protein bars you like?  The only ones I seem to be able to eat that don't make me feel sick to my stomach are the Pure Protein bars.  The rest seem to have too much sugar for me.  Thanks.

I have two favorites:

Powercrunch (pb creme - no chocolate) - these are my absolute favorites!

If I can't get those, Oh Yeah! - wafer bars in peanut butter crunch will do.

Thank you!  I found them in the internet but couldn't find the nutritional information.  Can you tell me the amount of calories, fat, sugar and protein?  Where do you purchase them from, would like to try them.
