Pain...

I am 8 days post-op and have continued to have a pain on my lower left side of my abdomen. The doctor says it is perfectly normal since they slipped the stapler in through that side, but it can really be bad when I'm trying to get up or while I'm sitting. Makes me wonder if it is a hernia? Any thoughts/opinions?

relax, its perfectly normal, just take it slow and relax. Remember you just had major surgery. It took me a while to heal and even now, I still feel it sometimes.

Just a thought..... Have you had a BM recently? (please don't post answer... just a thought)
That will also cause pain on the lower left side...

Good luck...

It's very normal, I had pain for about 2 months and it slowed in the 3rd month it does take some time and also if you haven't had a BM it can cause it to hurt too. I know for a while my skin hurt or was sensative to touch I couldn't stand to have anything touch my tummy. Hang in there you'll be fine but if it bothers you to badly call your doctor..
