Requesting support for walk on June 26th

I don't normally do this but since my in-laws helped my husband meet his fundraising goal, I feel like I need a fire lit under my butt......

On June 26th, I'm joining Team MGG for the "Taking Steps to Be Heard" Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America walk in DC. I only set my goal at $50 since this is my first fundraising walk EVER and even if no one donates, I could meet my own goal. However, if anyone feels especially passionate about IBD or has money burning a hole in their pockets..... the link below should lead you to my team's website to donate. Or you can go thru the main webpage (www.ccfa.org) and look up Team MGG under the DC walk.

I appreciate anyone who feels so inspired to help! It won't be going to me but to help with research & cure IBDs. My husband has had Ulcerative Colitis for almost 10 years and we're trying to get more involved in CCFA.  If you donate, you get the ego boost of seeing your name under the "Honor Roll" thingy on the page and my undying gratitude....

Thanks again!!!
- Nicole

Hi Nicole,

Way to go girl!  I really appreciate you doing this as CCFA is so important to us.  Both my boys have Crohn's.  Diagnosed 3 years ago when one was 13 and one was 16.  It was a very rough 2 years trying to get them on the right meds, ... So I know what your husband has been going through.  I would donate only we are also raising money for CCFA.  My husband and I are doing the Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon in July and have been training with Team Challenge since March.  He runs the whole way, I run/walk.  My original goal was to raise over $7000 but I've lowered it to $6000.00.  Actually, when the company matches come in, it should be over $7000 but we'll see if they come through.  But CCFA is such a good cause and are one of the best charities in how they use their money.  82 cents out of every dollar goes to research and support programs for people with Crohn's.

If you want to check out my boys or our site it's:

Good luck on your walk and fund raising.  I hope your husband is doing well.
