Where do you get your Multi vitamins and calcium from?
How much do you pay?
I normally order from Celebrate (for 30 day supply) but getting tired of paying $50 for them with shipping.
Looking for a better deal

I am taking Optisource. My dietician said it has everything I need except for the iron requirement. Due to having endometriosis and my OB making sure I don't get a period, my dietician said I don't need the iron so I take 4 Optisource a day. I do two with breakfast and two with dinner. You can find them at walgreens in store and online and at amazon.com.
I was using celebrate but the multi tasted pretty nasty to me. The Optisource tastes much better to me.
Eta: here's a link to the nut info for Optisource. Your surgeon's requirements may be different than mine so check with your nut or surgeon to see if these are suitable for you. http://www.nestlenutritionstore.com/bariatric-itemdetail.asp?T1=OPTVIT+CITR+12CB
Good luck!

Your dietician is wrong. Apparently she has not bothered to review the ASMBS guidelines.
With Optisource, you'd need eight a day, not four. The ASMBS says you need 200% of the RDA of most things but four of those only gives you 100% of many things. So you'd need eight.
The ASMBS says you need 1500-2000 mg calcium citrate per day. Optisource has calcium carbonate instead of citrate, which we don't absorb.

I use Bariatric Advantage...I get it at my doctor's office I get a three month supply at a time. It's around $102 for the three months. Also, you can get them from the company and have it set up on auto delivery. I'm not sure what the price is there but you can look it up and see. Does your Doctors office not have them to sell you?
I use ENS from Celebrate for a multi and Upcal D for calcium citrate. Since the ENS has 500 mg calcium in it and I use two a day, I only use one dose of Upcal D a day so a box lasts me a long time.
I pay $45 for a 30 day supply of ENS, which I know is pricey, but it's the multi I've found I tolerate best.
I can't recall off the top of my head how much the Upcal D is, maybe something like $14 for 120 servings (which would last me four months). Whatever it is, it's cheap.

Oh geeze...I did the "Bariatric" stuff at first, and then found it way to expensive...I get Centrum Silver (chewables, because I am a sick bugger and LOVE the taste) at Walmart or Target (often they have 2 for the price of one, like 9.99$ a bottle)
I get my Citrical Max or Citrical Calcium +Vitamin D3 from teh same places (Walgreens, Target or Walmart) and usually pay around 6$ per bottle of 120 coated tablets. I have Noooooo problem swallowing pills at all, and have been able to since about 1 week out.
I do my own Vitamin B12 injections twice a month (prescription from my surgeon) but sublingual B12 is cheaper! (make sure it is sublingual though!)
I also do Omega 3 fish oil capsules...Glucosamine and Chondroiten (whenever it is on sale.. helps with my joints and arthritis...) and I get my Iron (Tender Iron Carbonyl) from Vitalady. Her prices are excellent and she has the iron we (RNY'ers) need!
Let's see, what else...oh! I get additional Vitamin d3 from her (Vitalady as well). I get a 90 day supply of ALL my supplements for probably 50-60$ and my labs are picture perfect!
Good luck!
Warmly,
Jackie
