Antibiotics and Possible Infection

I posted yesterday that I had a fever of 101 and I am one week out. I saw my surgeon today and he prescribed me antibiotics. (Cipro 500 mg 2 x a day.) He seems to think it may be my largest incision that could be infected. But my lower back on the same side hurts really bad, so maybe its a kidney/bladder infection?

I'm hoping the Cipro doesn't hurt my new pouch. I'm really nervous. :( Any advice?

The Cipro will not hurt your pouch... nor will any other antibiotics.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I had the same problem 1 week out, and had to take keflex. very soon after starting the antibiotic, the redness in my incisions went down, and after a couple days, the pain in my lower back went away as well. the antibiotic is a good thing. make sure to take it all so the infection doesn't come back.

Good luck!
