Popcorn is a good that at first seems like it is going to be fine but then 30 minutes later I feel like a balloon. Not sure how other people feel about it. But I had a little popcorn at the movies yesturday and then waited 30 minutes to have water and then I felt funny for the rest of the night. It was sooooooo tasty but not worth it.

I am almost a year out and have loved having popcorn with no ill effects.  I use the spray fake butter because I don't want it dry and it tastes really good to me.   Good luck.  Lori

I'm only 5 months out and I've had popcorn with no ill effects.

The little 100 cal. bags are perfect.

I really hope I have the same response to popcorn as you all. I just thought about this today went I was developing a list of possible snacks. I am working on making foods I eat regularly bariatric patient friendly.

Almost 4 months out here and just scared to try it. Want it some times but not ready to take the risk of feeling what others have reported above. Love the Genisoy Crisps though, no problems with those and you get 5 grms of protein per serving.

I tried it about 3 months post-op--I sucked on it until it was mush and chewed well. I WISH I could use that restraint now! LOL I have it 2-3 times a week (Good for the fiber!) but ONLY if I've met my protein goals because sometimes it doesn't sit well....

I love popcorn.  I eat the "smartpop" or whatever brand it is (in a black bag) white cheddar.... I eat a little and toss the bag out.

I had some at the theater last week, it was good but I felt really guilty b/c we put the butter on it....... and then was thirsty.  Uh yeah, that sucked.

It's not all glitter and rainbows.
