Avatar help

I can't get a new photo to upload as my avatar.  I made it small enough (43x68 pixels), have tried both firefox and internet explorer.  I get this message: .metric { DISPLAY: none } .imperial { DISPLAY: none } SPAN.selected { DISPLAY: inline }

Please correct the following:

Unable to upload avatar.jpg. The max file size is 20,000 bytes.
