Birth Control
I don't know much about the NuvaRing. I have used Merina in the past and never had any issues with it. After a few months I didn't get my period anymore (which is a fantastic side effect). They are good for several years too. The first day or 2 is a little uncomfortable, but no worse than cramps that you would normally have. Good luck, hopefully someone can provide you some info on the NuvaRing
I have not done the nuvaring but my doctor said for the first couple of months to do the shot becouse something with the blood thinners that you have to take after surger and the Nuvaring that is just does not work.
but i did the depo and it seems to be doing fine, I am still losing weight and the good thing is no periods. sorry could not be of better help.

I use the NuvaRing and it's been great. I used the Mirena IUD before that for years. I ended up getting cervical cancer and they think the IUD might have been the cause. They don't know for sure, of course. Before the IUD I got pregnant twice while on birth control. Once with the pill and once with the shot. I've had no problems with the NuvaRing so I definitely recommend it. I put a new one in every four weeks (instead of in for three weeks and out for one week) so I never have to worry about having a period.
