This was a biggie with my surgeon too. I havent had my surgery yet BUT one of the questions he asked is how my teeth were. I told him I was in the process of getting that taken care of which I was and still am. I have all my tetth except the 4 wisdom teeth and overall now that I have been getting the work done little by little my oral helth is good. I always tell people when they ask how my tetth got so nice- if you smoke now you need to quit. I tell them that and get some werird looks. But it is true, my teeth went downhill after I started smoking.

You have to have your teeth to chew. I come from a family that had half or ALL of their teeth missing, oral health just was not important. I am now paying for not only the mistakes my parents made by not impressing on us kids how important our teeth were but also because I chose to start smoking.
