Update to the new me!
So its been a bit since I posted or updated so here goes! Might be long!
I am 5 weeks out. I scale has not moved in over a week. Oh well..... I have noticed I can do so much more! I am walking at least 2.5 miles a day. I am swimming every other day weather permitting!.
Thursday night I went out with family and friends to a concert down on Beale street. We went to dinner before and I was so afraid I wouldn't be able to eat anything. But never fear a wonderful waitress was near! She TOTALLY understood and suggested that I take a small piece of grilled chicken from my daughters plate and have that with a small amount of mashed potatoes. I got thru my chicken and never touched the potatoes!! I did NOT have to have a plate of food! I ate off hers! So my dinner was a grand total of FREE!!!!!! (Total people in our party were 7 and they had a $68 tab) Then the concert was AMAZING!!!! Steve Holy.... Good Morning Beautiful!!! My hubby grabbed me and we danced to it!!! I nearly cried! That is one of my favorite songs. In fact its my wake up alarm!!!!
I so enjoyed being able to eat with everyone and enjoy all the conversation and not be worried about how much food or what kind of food I was shoving in my face. It was the best time conversation wise I have had in a very long time.
My husband and i are sort of empty nesters. A Freshman in college and a Sr in high school.... neither are home much. SO we are learning to date again. Its been nice. Movies, concerts, staying home and vegging on the couch..... He is learning that I can NOT eat what he cooks so he cooks differently, more healthy. Now I can have just about anything he does as long as I puree it!!!
This morning we heard there was a flea market 20 miles from here so we drove over to it. It was a sad flea market.... 10 vendors? Yuck. But we so enjoyed our time together. Then off to Schnucks and Walmart for some things we needed here at home.
I made my first batch of protein ice cream today. It was funny!!! I put all the ingredients in the bowl BEFORE I mixed them...... what a mess! I dumped it out and started again..... it was yummy!!!! I cant believe it is protein packed and sugar free!!!!
All in all I am learning. Its a whole new life. Everyone around me says they can see the difference. I cant. But OK..... whatever they say. I pulled a shirt out of my dresser that i ave not worn in 2 years. Guess what!?!?!?!?! IT FIT AND NO PUCKERING!!!!! I about fainted!!! this is one of my favorite shirts!!!! I hope I can find a seamstress to take it in for me as I go down in sizes!
I am going to have my daughter get the measuring tape out tonight and we are going to take a new batch of measurements.
I go Wednesday for my 6 week checkup. And I go Friday for my scope to see what is wrong in there. (still having some bleeding issues)
All in all I am happy. I am adjusting. I am loosing.
