A fun NSV!

Tuesday is my 31st b-day and my Dad and stepmom blessed our family with a trip to Dollywood for my whole family!  This was an especially big deal to me because being able to ride a roller coaster again has been on my list of goals from before I even had surgery.  I used to absolutely LOVE rollercoasters and I really wanted to be able to enjoy them again-especially with Taylor, my daughter.  She loves them as much as I do!

I was super nervous standing in line for the first one, worrying and worrying that I wouldn’t fit…or that I would be scared of them now.  After all, it had been 12-15 years since I had ever been on one.  I needn’t have worried!  I fit and I loved it still.

John on the other hand was absolutely terrified!  I had no idea he was that scared of roller coasters when he offered to ride it with me.  He was just being the sweet, considerate hubby that he is.  I thought he was going to have a panic attack on the way up.  It sure is good for some laughs now!  I mean, come on, the picture is hilarious, right?  I’m screaming and having the time of my life and he looks like he’s going to die at any minute. LOL!!

And here’s a pic of the group of us.  If you will please, notice my collarbones….I’ve been waiting on that one for a very long time.  :-)

This is what having the surgery is all about.  It's not just about the weight...it's about being able to LIVE!

Loving my new life!  I'm ever so grateful...

Wonderful!! We live by an amusement park and have season passes. I can't wait for when I comfortably fit in all the rollercoasters. I've forgone one of them because I had already gone through enough of the shame of being "helped" into my seats on the others.

Glad for you!

i went to carowinds near charlotte nc this year, for my 31st birthday.  rode every dang coaster they had.  it was amazing, felt like a kid again.  haven't been on one in 12 years.  i was also afraid i wouldn't fit on the very first one. once we got over that hump i jumped on them all.  sometimes we still live in the larger size mind, but i had a big reality check that day.  fun fun fun!!!
