Well its official... I have stitches irritating my pouch that have created an ulcer. Some of the stitches were removed. But one would not come out. He has to go back in in 3-4 weeks to remove the stitch. In the meantime I am on high doses of antacids and a pouch coating med.

At least now I know I was not crazy I really have been tasting and seeing blood!!!! Other than that the gastro said the pouch looks great. I am just so disappointed that this is happening. I was so thrilled that I was going to be allowed to slowly start incorporating regular foods. But because of this I am STILL on soft foods ONLY til the next procedure.

Sigh...... time for a nap..... tired of crying.

Oh, Sarah, I am so sorry you are having to deal with this.  At least you now know what is wrong and you on are your way to recovery.  You will be eating normal food here soon.

The grass is always greener, when you start to eat normal food you have a whole new set of problems....like wondering if you are eating too much, or eating too many carbs and not enough protein, or eating the wrong foods.  It is a whole new adjustment.

Keep us all posted on how you are feeling!
