6 months post op....
I went into surgery January 11, 2011 with a lapband, and woke up with a bypass. Best decision I ever made. I feel great. I'm down more than 70 pounds... 72 in fact. My sugar issues are gone. My blood pressure was boarderline high, and now it's perfect, to low. My sleep apnea appears to be gone, no more snoring. They'd found it during my surgery, so no cpap yet. I'm at a weight I haven't seen since I was like 14 yrs old. I'm 40 now. My twins can hug my waist and actually get all the way around me, and some. I'm more active most days. My only complaint is that my tailbone hurts 24/7. I find myself sitting in weird positions to relieve the pain, and then my back hurts. But I love life. I love wearing smaller clothes. I am in a size 14 comfortably, and have a pair of capris that are 12, and a shorts that are a size 8. Weird I know... they're danskin brand. They tend to run big. I wear a size 12/14 top. My bra size is down from a FULL 38C/d to a very skimpy 36 c or 36 b. That bugs me, but it's all in the right direction.
There are relatively recent photos of me in my gallery. I am proud to say I'm more than halfway to my goal, and heading on that way now.... 48 pounds more to goal.
