Jamba juice smoothie?
I'm on day 7 after surgery and just ordered a jamba juice light (made with splenda)strawberry smoothie with added soy and whey protein. Bad idea?

Well I drank about 8 oz 30 mins ago. I don't know about this dumping thing yet. I've been on clear liquids all week. How will I know that's going to happen?

You won't know it's going to happen, you'll know it when it's happening. If you drank it 30 minutes ago and aren't dumping yet, then it's probably not going to happen.
That doesn't necessary mean you won't dump on sugar, though. Fructose (the sugar in fruit) doesn't bother me but sucrose (table sugar) does.

I had my surgery 3 years ago. My advice would be whenever you try something you haven't had since the surgery would be to do it at home just in case it causes dumping. The only dumping issue I have is with dairy - I can eat cheese and drink low fat milk but I have severe dumping with regular milk and no way will I ever eat ice cream again - kind of wish I'd had that reaction to chocolate!
15 grams of protein.... Mix of soy and whey protein

How many g of sugar were in it? Whether you dum*****t is moot. Whether it messes with your wt loss, that's what you need to consider.
I kept mine to "single digits" per meal. So for me, that drink would have to be 9g or less. When I've disobeyed my own rule, I've gotten to wear larger sizes.
