Surgery Date

 I just received my surgery date of August 17, 2011.....the only thing is...I was all this time thinking Sleeve and due to some health problems they found during this process, gastric is what I am having.  SO I have not fully read everything there is to know.....HELP!!!  Any kind of info would be GREAT!!!!!

 I would definitely suggest you set up a meeting with your surgeon to discuss all this information (my surgeon did an information session on all the different types of surgery before he met with us individually). From what I understand, there are a lot of similarities between the sleeve and gastric bypass, and they are both major surgeries. All I can say is to read through the forum, and look up any questions you might have. For me, this was the best decision I could have made!
