Ok I have a question... I got my 3 month labs back today. Prior to surgery my cholesterol was sky high. Now they are saying its to LOW??? Its 135 now and was 337 before surgery. So they sent a paper with my labs explaining the correct things you should do to fix your low/high labs. The paper for this suggested to exercise which they highlighted but at the top it said to keep taking cholesterol medicine if you are on one. Now this is a generic handout paper. If my cholesterol is to low should I really keep taking it? Or should I call and ask them? Oh and my HDL cholesterol was low too, it was 37.

I would call and double check with them.  Whenever you are unsure of medication stuff I would be on the side of caution cause you never know how your system will react.  Good luck!

Exercise will help increase your HDL, which is why it was suggested, but taking cholesterol medicine when your total cholesterol is low doesn't make sense at all to me. Definitely call. I'd be shocked if they told you to continue taking it.

Let us know what they say!
